Kevin Gibson – B.Kin, MScPT, CAFCI
Certified in Spinal Manipulative Therapy
Kevin is the founder of Kinetic Physiotherapy in Maple Ridge BC. Kevin has obtained both a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley and a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta. He has continued his post graduate education by completing numerous courses in Manual Therapy focusing on joint mobilization and manipulation techniques. He has also completed his Acupuncture Certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.
Kevin has significant experience in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries sustained in motor vehicle, occupational and sports related accidents. He has also previously worked in acute care settings with clients after complex surgeries such as hip and knee replacements.
Kevin’s treatment style uses a variety of hands on treatments (soft tissue massage, joint mobilizations and manipulations), acupuncture, therapeutic taping and progressive exercise programs. Kevin was previously a competitive soccer player competing at the collegiate level. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, running and trying to keep up with his wife and young children.
Jennifer Tarr – RMT
Jennifer graduated in 2011 from the 3000 hour, 3 year, Registered Massage Therapy Program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She was awarded 1st Place for her research paper investigating the effects of Massage Therapy and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Jennifer enjoys working with all types of conditions and takes a special interest in the treatment of Motor Vehicle Injuries (ICBC), Fibromyalgia, Pre / Post Natal Care, and Athletic Injuries. Through a thorough assessment and utilization of trigger point therapy, myfoascial release, joint mobilization, and Kinesiotape Application, Jennifer can tailor her sessions to meet the unique needs of each client. She believes that customizing each treatment to the patient’s individual needs is the key to successful therapy.
Jennifer is proud to have recently been a part of the Massage Therapy team for Rugby Canada, as well as Rugby Japan. Jennifer has provided post-event Massage Therapy treatments for the BMO Vancouver Marathon, the Port Coquitlam Terry Fox Run, and the Professional Squash Association World Tour.
Jennifer has completed the Tough Mudder and participates in the Sun Run every year. She believes that being active in an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle.
